A yellowish-white, wax-yellow, or greenish-yellow paraffin wax usually found inside ironstone nodules and geodes in coalbeds or limestone. It melts at 55 to 65 degrees C, is sparingly soluble in boiling alcohol and cold ether, and is decomposed by concentrated sulfuric acid.
