The American Gas Association represents local energy companies that deliver natural gas throughout the United States.
The opening provided in a draught hood to permit the ready escape to the atmosphere of the flue products from the draught hood in the event of no draft, back draft, or stoppage beyond the draught hood, and to permit inspiration of air into the draught hood in the event of a strong chimney updraft.
