Flickr (pronounced "flicker") is an image hosting and video hosting website. It was acquired by Yahoo in 2005.

It is used by many bloggers to host images that they embed in their blogs and social media platforms.

In March 2013, Flickr had a total of 87 million registered members. Every day more than 3.5 million new images get uploaded. It is now the 9th most popular social media platform in the world.
