Neymar is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Spanish club FC Barcelona in La Liga and the Brazilian national team, as a forward or winger.

Neymar earned his 50th international cap in the opening match of the tournament, on 12 June against Croatia in São Paulo. After Brazil went 1–0 down, he equalised before half-time with a shot from outside the box, and gave Brazil the lead in the second half with a penalty kick in an eventual 3–1 win.
