A former name for celadonite, the mineral monoclinic K(Mg,Fe)(Fe,Al)Si₄O₁₀(OH)₂; mica group; soft; green or gray-green; earthy; generally occurs in cavities in basaltic rocks. Formerly called kmaite. See: celadonite.
