World Numbering Plan
A plan created by the International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee (CCITT--now, the ITU-T) that provides each telephone subscriber with a unique number. Each world telephone number consists of a country code followed by the national number. By international agreement, the number of digits in the country code plus national number is limited to a total of 15 digits.
