Accoya^TM is a new type of wood offering performance characteristics that enable it to replace less sustainable materials and nondurable wood species in exterior applications. Based on more than 80 years of research and development in the field of wood acetylation, combined with leading-edge technology, it is extremely durable, dimensionally stable, and highly reliable. It is also totally nontoxic, recyclable, and made from widely available sustainable wood resources. Accoya wood is now commercially available in Europe and will become available in the United States and other countries in due course.
