A geometric test phantom consisting of a 5 cm cube of plastic with a 1 mm diameter steel sphere placed exactly in the center of the cube. The intersection of groves on all six faces of the cube intersect with the location of the steel sphere within 0. 15 mm. See also phantom; isocal calibration.
