An orthorhombic mineral, NaBeSi₃O₇(OH) ; dimorphous with eudidymite; forms colorless tabular crystals in nepheline-syenite pegmatites with albite, elpidite, and analcime at Mont St. Hilare, PQ, Canada; Narsarsuk, Greenland; and Langesundfjord, Norway.
