packet data convergence protocol (PDCP)
A protocol whose main services and functions include transfer of user data, ciphering and deciphering, header compression and decompression, in-sequence delivery of upper layer PDUs, duplicate detection of lower layer SDUs and retransmission of PDCP SDUs.
