In telephone systems, the process that provides counts of the calls of different service classes that occur during intervals of such frequency as to reliably indicate the traffic load. 3. A count of the attempts to seize, or a count of the actual seizures that occur, of various types of telephone trunks, access lines, switches, or other equipment.
