Suicide is a serious epidemiological public health problem that devastates individuals, families, and communities throughout the world. There are many risk factors for suicide and suicidal behaviors, as well as a variety of methods of suicide. Our understanding of both the methods and risk factors involved can help inform models for suicide prevention.
