Most cars are powered by gasoline or diesel fuel. There is a massive infrastructure of service stations to provide these fuels in most regions of the world, especially in areas where there are many cars. In the United States alone there are approximately 120,000 service stations, often clustered in larger cities and distributed along interstate and other highways.
